My Motto for this Weekend

... and next week... and maybe for all the time.  Lots of work and play on the agenda for me.
via
I love this little mantra from Jess (can we talk about how awesome this print is?  And it's produced in my hometown of Kansas City too).  I'm ridiculously excited to attend her Business with Intention workshop next weekend.

Great timing for the workshop too since Melrose Street Custom Content is gaining some major momentum right now.  In the past week or so, I've received three assignments!  It's exciting and a little nerve-wracking.  But I know business will ebb and flow, so I'm full of gratitudeenjoying this time, facing any anxieties and discovering just how much I learn with every single project.

Another quote that's been on my mind lately...

From Mary Oliver's poem "The Summer Day"
via
I read more of Mary Oliver's work after we studied some of her poetry in my writing workshop this past fall.  I've been thinking about this line, this question, this challenge lately.

Maybe because we are in the midst of National Poetry Month,
maybe because my yoga teacher brought a book of Mary Oliver poems to class last night,
maybe because it's just so true that we have one life and it is wild and it is precious...
I had to share this piece of poetry with you.

Happy Friday!

P.S. If you want a lovely watercolor-and-ink print with the Mary Oliver quote, look no further than Bethany's Etsy shop, The Ripe Word.

  1. Congratulations. Enjoy every moment of it. I got three big assignments in the past few weeks ago and I was so nervous.

It is all turning out fine.

    YOU CAN DO IT! :)
